OUR STORY... |

The Horry County Humane Society
is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization that
cares for more than 12,000 homeless,
neglected, and abused animals each year. Our
story begins July 1, 2006 when our
organization entered a partnership with Horry
County to take over the day to day operations of the existing
county shelter. |

The
Horry County Humane Society will be
recognized for providing outstanding care
for homeless cats and dogs in Horry
County. Our strengths are in
educating the public regarding the
following: Pet care, relief of
suffering, rehabilitation,
spaying/neutering and promoting adoption
of homeless animals. |

Provide Horry County with excellent
animal care for homeless dogs and cats. |

Reduce euthanasia rate by significantly
increasing the adoption rates and decreasing intake

Open an off-site adoption center. |

Provide a long term, cost effective
solution to animal care in Horry County. |

Spay/Neuter |
|
The
mission of the Mr. Bo Spay/Neuter Clinic is
to provide affordable, high quality
spay/neuter services and education about
the benefits of spaying and neutering of
companion animals to all of Horry County,
thus decreasing the number of stray
animals brought into the animal shelter
each year.

(Cancelled until further notice)

Rabies Clinic (offered in
the spring and fall)

Tom Cat Neuterthons
(offered two times per year)
