Our organization entered a partnership with Horry County to take over the day to day operations of the existing county shelter in July, 2006. Areas of Service Horry County Humane Society services all of Horry County except the City Limits of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. These areas include but not limited to: Arcadian Shores, Aynor, Burgess, Carolina Forest, Cherry Grove, Conway, Daisy, Garden City, Green Sea / Floyds, Homewood, Loris, Socastee, Surfside Beach and more!  If your pet is picked up by Horry County Police Animal Control Division, it will be taken to our facility. To report a stray animal contact Horry County Police Dispatch at 843-248-1520.  Mission The Horry County Humane Society will provide outstanding care for homeless cats and dogs in Horry County.  Our strengths are in educating the public regarding the following:  Spaying & Neutering, promotion of adoptions of shelter animals, pet care and safety, rehabilitation and the relief of suffering.
